I looked at these sketches close up and I must say they are scary. I think you will successfully create a horror cartoon short. Have you ever seen soul eaters. I think you might enjoy that cartoon because deals with scary, grim things. If you want and if you haven't seen this, there is a song done for Soul Eaters by Marilyn Manson called "This Halloween" I thought it was creepy myself, but if you want to check it out you can find it on youtube to give you some ideas.
